HSV (Herpes simplex virus) *sensitive pics included*

[Caution!]  I recommend that you stop reading this article if you are sensitive to images of skin diseases.

I came down with HSV the first time in November 2022, and the second time this week.
The first time, I got sore blisters on my chin, which was my first symptom in my life.

I found this rash at midnight before my 4th COVID shot.
Of course, I rescheduled it.
I was prescribed Zovirax for 5 days, and I was also suspended from work during my medication.

My second HSV symptom

It took me longer to recognize my second HSV infection compared to my first one.
I had suffered from sore eyes before I found a painful ulcer on my eyelid.

It didn't always hurt, but I decided to see the dermatologist who also has an ophthalmology certificate.
My eyelid condition was at its worst last Wednesday, but unfortunately, the dermatologist's office was closed.
I visited his office yesterday, and I was diagnosed with HSV for the second time.
I've started taking Valacyclovir since yesterday: it often makes me sleepy.
I drive less often during my current medication; I even avoid riding my bike.
It's sad to stop exercising for a while, but it's okay because I can make up for my workload by going shopping on foot.
