Tax Credit
March is the tax credit season for me.
It’s mandatory for part-time public workers to calculate their resident tax.
Since I’m a part-time public school teacher, I must address the annual tax credit.
It took me 10 years to get used to processing tax documents on my own.
If a tax credit document contains errors in the application amounts, additional payments will be needed.
Japan government has issued citizenship cards, so-called “my number card”, in order to simplify tax credit application, but some people are still against it; they say, “My number card automatically reveals our privacy.”
I agree that my citizenship card helps me calculate my hospital bills, but these days it keeps requesting more and more access to my confidential information, which irritates me.
